Before you
jump in

You'll need a free MyGameHQ account first — sign up with your email (or Google), verify, then head to 'Find a competition', pick your comp and hit 'Register'. Under-16s must be added by a parent/guardian account.

No — a profile photo is optional at sign-up. But some competitions run match-sheet ID checks (referees verify each player's face against their profile) and those comps won't let you register without a photo. Adding one upfront saves friction later.

Yes — under-16s must be added by a parent/guardian account. When your guardian signs up, they create your player profile as a linked 'minor'. You can log into the same account and switch to your player view any time.

Most comps accept card payments online (secured by Stripe). If your comp offers cash or bank-transfer, you'll see it as an option at checkout — mark it, and your coach or the organiser confirms the payment on their side.

After you sign in, your player home shows this week's fixtures, your ladder position, and recent results. Tap into a fixture for match details, or into your team to see the full roster, upcoming games and standings. Every competition also has a public page at /competition/[id] where anyone can see the draw, ladders and match results without signing in.

Every broadcast email has a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. You can also toggle broadcast emails off in Account Settings → Marketing Preferences. Transactional emails (fixtures, results, payment receipts) always keep sending.
